A Kyrgyz diplomat Nurlan Suerkulov and Derya Soysal participated in the TV programme on Brussels agenda
Nurlan Suerkulov participated in a program organized by Huseyin Donmez, with the participation of Turkmen diplomat Maral Rahymova, expert Derya Soysal, and the CEO of Eurasiafocus, Fatih Ak.
The program was broadcast on the Turkish-German channel Kanal Avrupa on Saturday, February 1 at 2:00 PM (German time).
Both diplomats participated via Skype.
Kyrgyz diplomat Nurlan Suerkulov emphasized the importance of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Turkic world and the Organization of Turkic States. As an expert on the Turkic world, he explained the creation of the Organization, emphasizing that since the Nakhichevan Agreement, the Kyrgyz Republic, as a founding member, has played an active role in the Organization. Nurlan Suerkulov expressed pride in being a member of the Organization of Turkic States and noted the advances of this Organization in several projects.
Furthermore, he highlighted the numerous initiatives of the Kyrgyz Republic within the Organization of Turkic States.
The diplomat also discussed Kyrgyz-European relations. He noted that bilateral relations are developing, mentioning President Sadyr Japarov's visit on June 25, 2024. He added that among the topics of discussion between Europeans and Kyrgyzs are the agreement on Standards, the creation of laboratories, digitalization, green transition, rare materials, and more.
Finally, Derya Soysal and the Kyrgyz diplomat highlighted the strategic importance of the Kyrgyz Republic's position on the Silk Road, linking Europe to Asia. Mr. Suerkulov also emphasized the need to develop transport infrastructure to improve the connection between the two continents.
